See how SNOWY our rescued chickie is doing!

SOME OF YOU might remember that Joshy my son found this little chicken on a country lane, poor thing was so lost so he rescued it and brought it home in his pocket, must have only been about 2 weeks old then.

We really weren’t sure what it was, we thought it might have been a guinea fowl, or even a goose, up to a few weeks ago we thought he was a turkey!

but now we are sure he is a chicken but would love to know what type, anyone know?

At long last he has grown his feathers especially around his neck, he looked so threadbare before!  Check out his feet they are like great big snowboots, they are more fluffy then the pics show as the ground was wet!

Doesn’t he look just grand now, must be about 3 months old I reckon.  He has mingled with the other chickies nicely apart from being a bit scared, even though GiGi chases him off when he’s near the babies!

Will do an update on our chickies tomorrow so watch this space!

He’s rather splendid isn’t he. I don’t know what type he is though, sorry.

Hi Sarah, Yes he is definitely different, I have just been told he is a Japanese variety and their nature is they are scared all the time, well that’s exactly how he is with the other chickens, and he crowed for the first time this morning, so it’s a male as well! (weren’t too sure).
